کہیں اداس نہ ہو جائے یہ زمانہ بھی

کہیں اداس نہ ہو جائے یہ زمانہ بھی

مرے بدن سے لپٹنا بھی، مسکرانا بھی

تمام رات مرے خواب دیکھتے رہنا

پھر اگلے دن مجھے آنکھیں دکھا کے جانا بھی

یہ کیا کہ شام ٹپکنے سے غم ٹپکتے ہیں

بجھے ہوؤں کو جلانا، جلے بجھانا بھی

نکالنا اسے دل سے پھر اپنی دنیا سے

نئی منڈیر پہ جا کر دیے جلانا بھی

اک ایسے ہجر کا زندان ہے مرے آگے

جہاں پہ بند ہے وحشت بھی، مسکرانا بھی

حسن یہ در یہ دریچے رہیں سدا آباد

نہیں ہے ایک جگہ پر ترا ٹھکانہ بھی
