اجالا چاند کے بِن جو ہے وہ لشکار اردو ہے

کہ دنیائے ادب کا منفرد گلزار اردو ہے

مصنف، شاعروں کا بولتا ہتھیار اردو ہے

کہ میدانِ سخن کی جاں سپہ سالار اردو ہے

ہماری مادری علمی زباں اردو ہے اردو ہے

محبت کی اخوت کی علمبردار اردو ہے

پرندے چہچہاتے دھن میں گم ہیں اتنے صبح و شام

جو گاتے نغمے اردو کے ہیں اور گفتار اردو ہے

کلامِ فیض و میر و غالب و اقبال ہیں گل دار

کِھلا ہر پھول ہے جس میں وہی پھلوار اردو ہے

خوشی میں غم میں ہر آنسو کے قطرے میں لکھی اردو

قلم کاروں نے لکھنا ہے مرا گھر بار اردو ہے

مری پہلی محبت، آخری جذبات اردو ہیں
