مصرعۂ اولیٰ ہی میں مصرعۂ ثانی پھیلا

کہیں چھپا ہوتا ہے دوام کسی لمحے میں

یوں تو ہے صدیوں پہ جہان فانی پھیلا

دانائی کی دنیا تنگ ہے پیچیدہ ہے

یارب کچھ آسانی کر نادانی پھیلا

دامن تر ہی میں تو ہے اشکوں کی نمی بھی

رہنے دے دھرتی پر یوں ہی پانی پھیلا

منفعتیں ہی درج ہیں سب کی فرد عمل میں

ورق کشادہ کر تھوڑی نقصانی پھیلا

کرداروں کی پہچانیں گم ہونے لگی ہیں

میرے لیکھک اتنا بھی نہ کہانی پھیلا
