کھل گیا خلوت تنہائی کا قصہ اے ہے

چل گیا شہر میں افواہ کا سکہ اے ہے

قمری و طوطی و بلبل ہیں جسے دیکھ کے مست

اس گل اندام کو تم نے نہیں دیکھا اے ہے

کیا کہیں کیسا لگا چاند ہمیں اس کے بغیر

ڈوب کر جب غم ہجراں میں وہ نکلا اے ہے

اس کے فقرے سے میں کیا سمجھوں کوئی سمجھا دے

دفعتاً میری طرف دیکھ کے بولا اے ہے

الغرض قصۂ دو لفظ یہ سن لے اے دوست

کوچۂ یار بہ صد رنج نہ چھوٹا اے ہے
