پھر وہ شیشے میں مرا چہرہ دکھاتا ہے مجھے

شاید اپنا ہی تعاقب ہے مجھے صدیوں سے

شاید اپنا ہی تصور لئے جاتا ہے مجھے

باہر آوازوں کا اک میلہ لگا ہے دیکھو

کوئی اندر سے مگر توڑتا جاتا ہے مجھے

یہی لمحہ ہے کہ میں گر کے شکستہ ہو جاؤں

صورت شیشہ وہ ہاتھوں میں اٹھاتا ہے مجھے

جسم منجملہ آشوب قیامت ٹھہرا

دیکھوں کون آ کے قیامت سے بچاتا ہے مجھے

زلزلہ آیا تو دیواروں میں دب جاؤں گا

لوگ بھی کہتے ہیں یہ گھر بھی ڈراتا ہے مجھے

کتنا ظالم ہے مری ذات کا پیکر اخترؔ

اپنی ہی سانس کی سولی پہ چڑھاتا ہے مجھے
