بزرگوں نے جو تہذیبی اثاثہ گھر پہ رکھا ہے
لگایا ہے اسے آنکھوں سے میں نے سر پہ رکھا ہے
یہاں کا عہدہ و منصب تو مال و زر پہ رکھا ہے
مگر انصاف ہم نے عرصۂ محشر پہ رکھا ہے
تمہارے راستے میں تیرگی مائل نہیں ہوگی
چلے آؤ دیا ہم نے جلا کے در پہ رکھا ہے
مجھے احساس تنہائی نہیں مانا کہ تنہا ہوں
جو خط لکھا ہے تم نے وہ مرے بستر پہ رکھا ہے
اثر مشکل ہے کچھ کہنا بتاؤں میں تمہیں کیسے
ہمارا فیصلہ تو بس پس منظر پہ رکھا ہے

lagaya hai use aankhon se main ne sar pe rakha hai
yahan ka ohda-o-mansab to mal-o-zar pe rakha hai
magar insaf hum ne arsa-e-mehshar pe rakha hai
tumhaare raste mein tirgi mail nahin hogi
chale aao diya hum ne jala ke dar pe rakha hai
mujhe ehsas-e-tanhai nahin mana ki tanha hun
jo KHat likha hai tum ne wo mere bistar pe rakha hai
asar mushkil hai kuchh kahna bataun main tumhein kaise
hamara faisla to bas pas-e-manzar pe rakha hai
