ہیں تو گل چیں سے وہ بھی دہلے سے

باغباں آکے بس یہ کہتے ہیں

آشیاں جل رہا تھا پہلے سے

ان چراغوں کی روشنی دیکھو

تیرگی بڑھ رہی ہے پہلے سے

خوب وعدے وعید خواب سراب

یہی تو ہو رہا ہے پہلے سے
