حق مَہر کتنا ہو گا ، بتایا نہیں گیا

شہزادیوں کو بام پہ لایا نہیں گیا

کمزور سی حدیث سنا دی گئی کوئی

انصاف کا ترازو اٹھایا نہیں گیا

میں اپنے ساتھ ساتھ ہُوں ، وہ اپنے ساتھ ساتھ

ہم زاد ہمسفر کو بنایا نہیں گیا

پیالے میں پیاس اور دریچے میں چاند تھا

وہ سو رہا تھا ، مجھ سے جگایا نہیں گیا

اِک خواب دیکھنے میں ہی ، ہم صرف ہو گئے

انگار زندگی کا ، جلایا نہیں گیا

ہر بار چھوڑ آتی ہُوں دَریا میں لہر کو

چُلو میں بھر کے مجھ سے اُٹھایا نہیں گیا
