پُرانی چاہتوں میں کب جُدائی مارتی ہے

یہاں بس دلبَروں کی کج ادائی مارتی ہے

میں اُس سے دُور رہنے پر کبھی راضی نہ ہوتی

وہ اِک تُہمت جو ہے اُس نے لگائی مارتی ہے

بہت آسان تھی پردیس میں مُجھ کو فقیری

یہ مَٹی اور اِسکی آشنائی مارتی ہے

یہ سیدھے راستے پر چلنے والوں کو خبر ہے

کہاں لوگوں کو اُن کی پارسائی مارتی ہے

ہم اُس مٹی میں اپنی حیرتوں کو بو رہے ہیں

جہاں اپنوں کو اپنوں کی خُدائی مارتی ہے
