موت قسطوں میں زندگی چاہے
میں تو چاہوں اسے قیامت تک
وہ ملاقات سرسری چاہے
شہر کا شہر میرے قدموں میں
دل مگر یار کی گلی چاہے
سب کی مرضی سے جی کے دیکھ لیا
اب وہی کر جو تیرا جی چاہے
میں سمندر کا کیا کروں فاروقؔ
پیاس چڑھتی ہوئی ندی چاہے
