اول تو ترے کوچے میں آنا نہیں ملتا

آؤں تو کہیں تیرا ٹھکانا نہیں ملتا

ملنا جو مرا چھوڑ دیا تو نے تو مجھ سے

خاطر سے تری سارا زمانا نہیں ملتا

آوے تو بہانے سے چلا شب مرے گھر کو

ایسا کوئی کیا تجھ کو بہانا نہیں ملتا

کیا فائدہ گر حرص کرے زر کی تو ناداں

کچھ حرص سے قاروں کا خزانا نہیں ملتا

بھولے سے بھی اس نے نہ کہا یوں مرے حق میں

کیا ہو گیا جو اب وہ دوانا نہیں ملتا

پھر بیٹھنے کا مجھ کو مزہ ہی نہیں اٹھتا

جب تک کہ ترے شانے سے شانا نہیں ملتا

اے مصحفیؔ استاد فن ریختہ گوئی

تجھ سا کوئی عالم کو میں چھانا نہیں ملتا
