یاد ماضی کے چراغوں کو بجھایا نہ کرو

تم بھی تنہا نہ رہو مجھ کو بھی تنہا نہ کرو

نفس باد صبا ہاتھ نہ آئے گا کبھی

گل کی اڑتی ہوئی خوشبو کا احاطہ نہ کرو

ہم نے دیکھا ہے دم آخر شب خواب کوئی

تم سے کہنا ہے کہ تعبیر کا چرچا نہ کرو

کچھ نہ کچھ ہوگا مرے خاک اڑانے کا سبب

جانے والو مجھے آوازۂ صحرا نہ کرو

یوں نہ محسوس ہو افلاک نشیں ہے کوئی

اس قدر دور سے تو مجھ کو پکارا نہ کرو

tum bhi tanha na raho mujh ko bhi tanha na karo

nafas-e-baad-e-saba hath na aaega kabhi
gul ki uDti hui KHushbu ka ahata na karo

hum ne dekha hai dam-e-aKHir-e-shab KHwab koi
tum se kahna hai ki tabir ka charcha na karo

kuchh na kuchh hoga mere KHak uDane ka sabab
jaane walo mujhe aawaza-e-sahra na karo
