بے سبب ہو کے بے قرار آیا

بے سبب ہو کے بے قرار آیا

میرے پیچھے مرا غبار آیا

چند یادوں کا شور تھا مجھ میں

میں اسے قبر میں اتار آیا

اس کو دیکھا اور اس کے بعد مجھے

اپنی حیرت پہ اعتبار آیا

بھول بیٹھا ہے رنگ گل مرا دل

پرتو گل پہ اتنا پیار آیا

ایک دنیا کو چاہتا تھا وہ

ایک دنیا میں اس پہ وار آیا

سانس لیتی تھی کوئی حیرانی

میں جسے لفظ میں اتار آیا

کچھ نہ آیا ہمارے کاسے میں

اور آیا تو انتظار آیا

کب مجھے اس نے اختیار دیا

کب مجھے خود پہ اختیار آیا

بار وحشت کوئی اٹھاتا کیا

سو دگر بار دل پہ بار آیا
