رت ہے ایسی کہ در و بام نہ سائے ہوں گے

لوگ پلکوں پہ حسیں خواب سجائے ہوں گے

وقت کے ساتھ بدل جاتے ہیں چہرے سارے

آج اپنے ہیں یہی لوگ پرائے ہوں گے

لوگ اسی وجہ سے پتھراؤ کیا کرتے ہیں

آپ شیشے کی دکاں خوب سجائے ہوں گے

راہ ہموار نہ آساں تھا حصول منزل

حوصلے ہم نے بہت اپنے گنوائے ہوں گے

یونہی احساس ندامت تو نہیں ان کو حسنؔ

اپنے ہاتھوں سے ہی گھر اپنا جلائے ہوں گے
