نئے ستارے کھلا خواب شار جاری کر

بس اب فقیر کی دنیا میں اور دخل نہ دے

تری بساط ہے دل بھر سو شہر یاری کر

میں کاروبار جہاں کو سمیٹ کر آیا

بس اتنی دیر تو دل کی نگاہ داری کر

یہیں کہیں کسی لمحے میں دل بھی ہے لرزاں

توجہ سارے زمانوں پہ باری باری کر

وہی نہ ہو کہ یہ سب لوگ سانس لینے لگیں

امیر شہر کوئی اور خوف طاری کر

یہ قحط نور تو بابرؔ خبر نہیں کب جائے

سو دل کے عرصۂ خالی میں خوابیاری کر
