میں شعر گائے دیتا ہوں گانے میں کچھ نہیں

شہرت ملے تو ہاتھ نچانے میں کچھ نہیں

اس نے مجھے وزیر خزانہ بنا دیا

اس وقت جب وطن کے خزانے میں کچھ نہیں

لوٹا ہے میرے گھر میں بس اک کام کے لیے

ورنہ تمہارے ہاتھ دھلانے میں کچھ نہیں

تم پہلے میرے ناخن تدبیر دیکھ لو

مجھ کو تمہاری پیٹھ کھجانے میں کچھ نہیں

us ne mujhe wazeer-e-KHazana bana diya
us waqt jab watan ke KHazane mein kuchh nahin

loTa hai mere ghar mein bas ek kaam ke liye
warna tumhaare hath dhulane mein kuchh nahin

tum pahle mere naKHun-e-tadbir dekh lo
mujh ko tumhaari piTh khujaane mein kuchh nahin
