دنیا مرے احساس کی دنیا تو نہیں ہے

کہنے کو تو ہے دیدۂ نرگس میں بھی جادو

ہر آنکھ میں تصویر تمنا تو نہیں ہے

یہ حسن کے جلوے یہ فضاؤں کا ترنم

یہ شام چمن شام کلیسا تو نہیں ہے

آیا ہے دل زار کو پیغام مسرت

یہ بھی غم فردا کا تقاضا تو نہیں ہے

یوں روٹھ کے جانے پہ میں خاموش ہوں لیکن

یہ بات مرے دل کو گوارا تو نہیں ہے

ہر حال میں لازم ہے مجھے پاس محبت

یہ سچ ہے مگر دل کا بھروسہ تو نہیں ہے

بگڑے تھے وہ جس بات پہ مجھ سے سر محفل

اے نقشؔ دل اس بات کو بھولا تو نہیں ہے
