پردے پردے میں بہت مجھ پہ ترے وار چلے

مبارک عظیم آبادی

پردے پردے میں بہت مجھ پہ ترے وار چلے

صاف اب حلق پہ خنجر چلے تلوار چلے

دورئ منزل مقصد کوئی ہم سے پوچھے

بیٹھے سو بار ہم اس راہ میں سو بار چلے

کون پامال ہوا اس کی بلا دیکھتی ہے

دیکھتا اپنی ہی جو شوخیٔ رفتار چلے

بے پیے چلتا ہے یوں جھوم کے وہ مست شباب

جس طرح پی کے کوئی رند قدح خوار چلے

چشم و ابرو کی یہ سازش جگر و دل کو نوید

ایک کا تیر چلے ایک کی تلوار چلے

کچھ اس انداز سے صیاد نے آزاد کیا

جو چلے چھٹ کے قفس سے وہ گرفتار چلے

جس کو رہنا ہو رہے قیدئ زنداں ہو کر

ہم تو اے ہم نفسو پھاند کے دیوار چلے

پھر مبارکؔ وہی گھنگھور گھٹائیں آئیں

جانب مے کدہ پھر رند قدح خوار چلے

saf ab halq pe KHanjar chale talwar chale

duri-e-manzil-e-maqsad koi hum se puchhe
baiThe sau bar hum us rah mein sau bar chale

kaun pamal hua us ki bala dekhti hai
dekhta apni hi jo shoKHi-e-raftar chale

be-piye chalta hai yun jhum ke wo mast-e-shabab
jis tarah pi ke koi rind-e-qadah-KHwar chale

chashm o abru ki ye sazish jigar o dil ko nawed
ek ka tir chale ek ki talwar chale

kuchh is andaz se sayyaad ne aazad kiya
jo chale chhuT ke qafas se wo giraftar chale

jis ko rahna ho rahe qaidi-e-zindan ho kar
hum to ai ham-nafaso phand ke diwar chale

phir 'mubarak' wahi ghanghor ghaTaen aain
jaanib-e-mai-kada phir rind-e-qadah-KHwar chale
