میں جو بد حواس تھا محو قیاس تم بھی تھے

بچھڑتے وقت ذرا سا اداس تم بھی تھے

بدلتے وقت کا منظر تھا سب کی آنکھوں میں

مثال میں تھا اگر اقتباس تم بھی تھے

مجھے تو دار ملا تم کو کیسے تخت ملا

سنا ہے میری طرح حق شناس تم بھی تھے

تمہارے ہونٹ سے خوشیاں چھلک گئیں کیسے

اٹھائے ہاتھ میں خالی گلاس تم بھی تھے

اکیلا پن پہ کئی شعر کہہ دیئے میں نے

یہ اور بات مرے آس پاس تم بھی تھے
