پتھر بہت ہیں شہر میں شیشے نہیں رہے
ویسے تو ہم وہی ہیں جو پہلے تھے دوستو
حالات جیسے پہلے تھے ویسے نہیں رہے
خود مر گیا تھا جن کو بچانے میں پہلے باپ
اب کے فساد میں وہی بچے نہیں رہے
دریا اتر گیا ہے مگر بہہ گئے ہیں پل
اس پار آنے جانے کے رستے نہیں رہے
سر اب بھی کٹ رہے ہیں نمازوں میں دوستو
افسوس تو یہ ہے کہ وہ سجدے نہیں رہے

dariya utar gaya hai magar bah gae hain pul
us par aane jaane ke raste nahin rahe
sar ab bhi kaT rahe hain namazon mein dosto
