سبز رُت ھے
پروفیسر رشید حسرت
سبز رُت ھے شاخوں سے اُلفتیں برستی ہیں
اِس حیا کی وادی میں اپسرائیں بستی ہیں
جب خیال کا ریلہ تیری زُلف چُھو آئے
مُجھ کو پِھر وہ ساری شب ناگنیں سی ڈستی ہیں
پِھر فنا کے مندر کا اِک صنم پِگھلتا ھے
پِھر پُجارنیں کِتنی دُھوپ میں جُھلستی ہیں
دیوِیوں کی پُوجا میں جو سمے گُزارا تھا
اُس سمے کی آہٹ کو دھڑکنیں ترستی ہیں
کِس زباں سے ھو قِصّہ ٹُوٹ کر بِکھر نے کا
کُچھ بلندیاں حسرتؔ، اب کُھلا کہ پستی ہیں
