آ گیا ہوں کسی صحرا میں نئی پیاس کے ساتھ
تب بھی مصروف سفر تھا میں ابھی کی مانند
یہ الگ بات کہ چلتا تھا کسی آس کے ساتھ
ڈھونڈھتا ہوں میں کوئی ترک تعلق کا جواز
اب گزارا نہیں ممکن دل حساس کے ساتھ
ہو رہا ہے اثر انداز مری خوشیوں پر
عمر کا رشتہ دیرینہ جو ہے یاس کے ساتھ
جسم کے شیش محل کی ہے یہی عمر جناب
جب تلک نبھتی رہے تیشہ انفاس کے ساتھ

ho raha hai asar-andaz meri KHushiyon par
umr ka rishta-e-derina jo hai yas ke sath
jism ke shish-mahal ki hai yahi umr janab
jab talak nibhti rahe tesha-e-anfas ke sath
