محسوس لمس جس کا سر رہ گزر کیا

سایا تھا وہ اسی کا جسے ہم سفر کیا

کچھ بے ٹھکانہ کرتی رہیں ہجرتیں مدام

کچھ میری وحشتوں نے مجھے در بدر کیا

رہنا نہیں تھا ساتھ کسی کے مگر رہے

کرنا نہیں تھا یاد کسی کو مگر کیا

تو آئنہ بھی آپ تھا اور عکس بھی تھا آپ

تیرے جمال ہی نے تجھے خوش نظر کیا

وہ جس ڈگر ملے گا وہیں مر مٹوں گا میں

تم دیکھنا سفر کا ارادہ اگر کیا

جب زندگی گزار دی آیا ہے تب خیال

کیوں اس کا انتظار ظفرؔ عمر بھر کیا
