یہ کرشمہ بھی کیا کرشمہ تھا

شاہجہاں شاد

یہ کرشمہ بھی کیا کرشمہ تھا

میری بانہوں میں چاند ٹھہرا تھا

دھڑکنیں گن رہا تھا میں اس کی

وہ مرے جسم و جاں میں اترا تھا

میری سانسوں میں تھی مہک اس کی

اس کی سانسوں میں میں مہکتا تھا

زندگی اب مری مکمل تھی

جس کو چاہا تھا اب وہ میرا تھا

تشنگی بجھ گئی تھی اب میری

مہرباں آج مجھ پہ دریا تھا

میں اکیلا نہیں تھا شاہجہاںؔ

آج موسم بھی کچھ دوانہ تھا

meri banhon mein chand Thahra tha

dhaDkanen gin raha tha main us ki
wo mere jism-o-jaan mein utra tha

meri sanson mein thi mahak us ki
us ki sanson mein main mahakta tha

zindagi ab meri mukammal thi
jis ko chaha tha ab wo mera tha

tishnagi bujh gai thi ab meri
mehrban aaj mujh pe dariya tha

main akela nahin tha 'shahjahan'
aaj mausam bhi kuchh diwana tha
