آپ بھی نہیں آئے نیند بھی نہیں آئی

نیم وا دریچوں سے جھانکتی ہے تنہائی

جاگ جاگ اٹھتے ہیں گن کلی کے میٹھے سر

چھیڑ چھیڑ جاتی ہے گیسوؤں کی پروائی

یوں مرے خیالوں میں تیری یاد رقصاں ہے

جس طرح فضاؤں میں گونجتی ہے شہنائی

گرد راہ بھی چپ ہے سنگ میل بھی خاموش

طالبان منزل کی کچھ خبر نہیں آئی

اک طرف غم دنیا اک طرف تری یادیں

آج کل ہیولوں سے کھیلتے ہیں سودائی

جن گلوں نے پایا ہو رنگ و بو بگولوں سے

کون چھین سکتا ہے ان گلوں کی رعنائی

یہ تنے تنے ابرو یہ ہرا بھرا چہرا

ہم نے قہر سی لذت پیار میں نہیں پائی

اب تو صاف سنتا ہوں اپنے دل کی ہر دھڑکن

اور کیا دکھائے گی یہ طویل تنہائی

بزم دوست میں شہزادؔ تم بھی کچھ ہنسو بولو

چپ رہے سے ہوتی ہے دور دور رسوائی
