آج اس در پہ وہ پھر شاہِ انا بیٹھے ہیں

ہم سے اب ٹھیک ہیں آئے تھے ذرا بیٹھے ہیں

تب محلے کے سبھی لوگ یہی کہتے تھے

کل جو آئے تھے ابھی تک بھی کیا بیٹھے ہیں

دوستو جھوٹ ہے یہ جھوٹ ہے بالکل ہی جھوٹ

کہہ تو دیتے ہیں کہ ہم ان کو بھلا بیٹھے ہیں

شور ہی شور ہے حاصل تونہیں ہے کچھ بھی

وقت کو ہم یونہی بے کار گنوا بیٹھے ہیں

سانسیں باقی ہیں شاید تبھی زندہ ہیں ہم

زندگی کی رہ گزر پہ بھی خدا بیٹھے ہیں

آپ کچھ دیر ہمیں پہلے بتا ہی دیتے

اب تو ہم ان کو بھی محفل میں بلا بیٹھے ہیں

غلطی سرزد یہ ہمی سے ہی ہوئی ہے اعجازؔ

باتیں جو ان کو سبھی دل کی بتا بیٹھے ہیں
