دشت سارے مٹ گئے اور شعلہ شبنم ہو گیا

میں ابھی چلا ہی تھا کہ رستہ ختم ہو گیا

دست ساقی بھی ادھر ہے، دست قاتل بھی یہاں

عجیب لمحے پر چراغ بزم مدھم ہو گیا

معجزہ عشق تھا کہ درد بڑھتے ہی گئے

جہاں جہاں مرہم لگایا تھا ، زخم ہو گیا

وہ شخص تو مسکرا کے مل رہا تھا شہر سے

افسوس پھر بھی دل لگی کا مجھکو وہم ہو گیا

مریض دل روتا رہا کہ ورنہ پھر اس شہر میں

لوگ کہتے شکر ہے کہ درد اب کم ہو گیا

میرا ارادہ تھا کہ تجھسے آج ہوں شکوے ہزار

تو، تو مجھکو دیکھ کر ہی یار، پر نم ہو گیا

خود کو یوسف ڈھونڈتا ہوں ، دشت و لالہ زار میں

اک بگولہ جو یہاں تھا، وہ کہاں گم ہو گیا
