منجمد کر گئی وہ رات مجھے

سب گماں رہ گئے دھرے کے دھرے

ہو گیا اعتبار ذات مجھے

میں عدم کی پناہ گاہ میں ہوں

چھو بھی سکتی نہیں حیات مجھے

ذرا بھی احتجاج کر نہ سکا

لے گیا سایہ اپنے سات مجھے

مجھ سے ناراض چل رہے ہیں حرف

گھورتے ہیں قلم دوات مجھے

سوچتا ہوں کہ کھیل سے ہٹ جاؤں

بارہا مل رہی ہے مات مجھے
