جب بھی دیکھیں تو ہم اپنے کو اکیلا دیکھیں

موم کے لوگ کڑی دھوپ میں آ بیٹھے ہیں

آؤ اب ان کے پگھلنے کا تماشا دیکھیں

تب یہ احساس ہمیں ہوگا کہ یہ خواب ہے سب

بند آنکھوں کو کریں خواب کی دنیا دیکھیں

بات کرتے ہیں تو نشتر سا اتر جاتا ہے

اب وہ لہجے کی تمازت کا خسارہ دیکھیں

تو نے نظریں نہ ملانے کی قسم کھائی ہے

آئنہ سامنے رکھ کر ترا چہرہ دیکھیں

کوئی بھی شے حسیں لگتی نہیں جب تیرے سوا

یہ بتا شہر میں ہم تیرے سوا کیا دیکھیں

قتل اور خوں کے مناظر ہیں جو بستی بستی

کیسے انسانوں کی دنیا کا تماشہ دیکھیں

اتنا ویرانی سے رشتہ ہے ظفرؔ اپنا اب

خواب کی دنیا میں بھی صحرا ہی صحرا دیکھیں
