لبوں پر پیاس سب کے بے کراں ہے

ہر اک جانب مگر اندھا کنواں ہے

ہے کوئی عکس رنگیں آئنے پر

جبھی تو آئنے میں کہکشاں ہے

کسی سے کوئی بھی ملتا نہیں اب

ہر اک انساں یہاں تو بد گماں ہے

فراق و وصل کا قصہ نہیں ہے

ادھوری کس قدر یہ داستاں ہے

نہیں کچھ بولتے ہیں جبر سہہ کر

لگے ترشی ہوئی سب کی زباں ہے

وطن میں رہ کے بھی ہے بے وطن یہ

بہت مظلوم یہ اردو زباں ہے

کسی کا درد بانٹے غم میں روئے

ظفرؔ احساس لوگوں میں کہاں ہے
