PB-42 Balochistan Assembly Kharan - Results in 2008 Provincial General Election

In 2008 General Provincial Balochistan Election, Ghulam Jan from Balochistan National Party (Awami) was elected as Member Balochistan Assembly MPA, and got 5452 votes, the second runner up was Nasir Ali from Independent who got 4635 votes. 7 candidates from different political parties & independent candidates contested in the election.
In Election 2008, there were total 40871 voters registered in PB-42, out of which 14406 votes were polled out, 13994 votes were valid and 415 votes were rejected. The total percentage of valid votes was 35.24 % for PB-42 constituency of Balochistan.
