Provincial Sindh Assembly General Election 2008

The Provincial elections in Sindh assembly, Pakistan were held on 18th February 2008 along with the national general elections, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) was the top leading party in this election, PPP won 93 seats out of 168 total seats. The total number of registered votes were 19207129, and 8498911 votes were polled, and turnover was 44.30%. There were 130 general seats in Sindh assembly, 29 reserved seats for women and 9 seats are reserved for minorities, total seats are 168. After PPP, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) took the second position with 51 seats, and on third National Peoples Party won 3 seats.
