یادوں کا کوئی دیپ جلائے تو بات ہے
وہ چاندنی ہے پاس بلائے تو بات ہے
آ کر کسی بھی باغ میں مل جائے خیر ہے
گوری اگر نہ گھر پہ بلائے تو بات ہے
پھر ذکر چاہتوں کا سماعت کا حسن ہو
پھر داستان وصل سنائے تو بات ہے
ہے وقت مہرباں تو کرے شاد کام دل
یہ دوریوں کے زخم بھلائے تو بات ہے
رت ہے ملن کی اس کے بھی رستے میں آئے ہیں
تازہ گلاب ہاتھ پہ لائے تو بات ہے
عاشقؔ ہے عاشقی کی ضروری ہے گر اسے
اس عاشقی میں خود کو گنوائے تو بات ہے

gori agar na ghar pe bulae to baat hai
phir zikr chahaton ka samaat ka husn ho
phir dastan-e-wasl sunae to baat hai
hai waqt mehrban to kare shad-kaam dil
ye duriyon ke zaKHm bhulae to baat hai
rut hai milan ki us ke bhi raste mein aae hain
taza gulab hath pe lae to baat hai
'ashiq' hai aashiqi ki zaruri hai gar use
is aashiqi mein KHud ko ganwae to baat hai
