وصل کا بیج بو نہیں پایا
رات زندہ تھا سو نہیں پایا
فانی دنیا کے اس مسافر نے
وہ بھی کھویا ہے جو نہیں پایا
میری آنکھوں میں خواب بستے ہیں
زندگی بھر میں رو نہیں پایا
رقص کرتا ہوں میں اداسی میں
میں نے محبوب کو نہیں پایا
اس نے مجھ سے کہا ملو احمدؔ
اور مجھ سے یہ ہو نہیں پایا
