کاغذ کی ناؤ ہوں جسے تنکا ڈبو سکے

یوں بھی نہیں کہ آپ سے یہ بھی نہ ہو سکے

برسات تھم چکی ہے مگر ہر شجر کے پاس

اتنا تو ہے کہ آپ کا دامن بھگو سکے

اے چیختی ہواؤ کے سیلاب شکریہ

اتنا تو ہو کہ آدمی سولی پہ سو سکے

دریا پہ بند باندھ کر روکو جگہ جگہ

ایسا نہ ہو کہ آدمی جی بھر کے رو سکے

ہلکی سی روشنی کے فرشتے ہیں آس پاس

پلکوں میں بوند بوند جہاں تک پرو سکے

barsat tham chuki hai magar har shajar ke pas
