آصفہ زمانی
تیری یادوں نے تڑپایا بہت ہے
بھلے ہی دل کو سمجھایا بہت ہے
بہت زخمی کیا ہے دل کو تم نے
تمہیں کو پھر بھی اپنایا بہت ہے
کھلے رہتے ہیں زخم دل ہمیشہ
خزاں نے ظلم تو ڈھایا بہت ہے
لب جاناں جو زمزم آتشیں تھا
حواسوں پر مرے چھایا بہت ہے
لغت میں حسن کی تعریف ڈھونڈھی
مگر ہر لفظ کم مایہ بہت ہے
دل آتش کی سازش میں زمانیؔ
شب ہجراں کو گرمایا بہت ہے

lab-e-jaanan jo zamzam-atashin tha
hawason par mere chhaya bahut hai
lughat mein husn ki tarif DhunDhi
magar har lafz kam-maya bahut hai
dil-e-atish ki sazish mein 'zamani'
shab-e-hijran ko garmaya bahut hai
