چھپ گئے چاند کیوں معاً کچھ سوچ

کیوں سسکتی ہے چاندنی شب بھر

آہیں بھرتی ہے کیوں پون کچھ سوچ

سر جھکائے کھڑی رہی پہروں

تیری دہلیز پر کرن کچھ سوچ

روح کا ساتھ کون دائم ہے

پھول سے اٹھ گئی پھبن کچھ سوچ

بام و در پہ بھی کچھ اداسی ہے

کھوئے کھوئے سے ہیں چمن کچھ سوچ

دیکھ ہر شاخ ہے کڑی زنجیر

باغ میں جا نہ دفعتاً کچھ سوچ
