دائرے سے نکال دے کوئی

ہم کو رستے پہ ڈال دے کوئی

سانس رکنے لگی ہے سینے میں

یہ کڑا وقت ٹال دے کوئی

یوں کیا ہے سلام اس نے مجھے

جیسے پتھر اچھال دے کوئی

اس کی حسرت میں جو گزار دئے

وہ مرے ماہ و سال دے کوئی

بات کرنا محال لگتا ہے

میرے مولا کمال دے کوئی

کاش میری خطاؤں کو انورؔ

اک تبسم سے ٹال دے کوئی

sans rukne lagi hai sine mein
ye kaDa waqt Tal de koi

yun kiya hai salam us ne mujhe
jaise patthar uchhaal de koi

us ki hasrat mein jo guzar diye
wo mere mah-o-sal de koi

baat karna muhaal lagta hai
mere maula kamal de koi

kash meri KHataon ko 'anwar'
