تمام عمر اٹھائے ہیں ناز پتھر کے

لہولہان ہوا ہے مرا بدن یوں بھی

پکڑ نہ پایا کبھی ہاتھ میں ستم گر کے

بس ایک حرف مقرر کے جرم میں ہم نے

زباں پہ وار ہزاروں سہے ہیں خنجر کے

وہ لوگ لایا گیا ہے جنہیں برابر میں

کسی طرح بھی نہیں تھے مرے برابر کے

کچھ ایسے زخم بھی سر کو جھکا کے کھائے ہیں

جو مرے بخت کے تھے اور نہ تھے مقدر کے

یہی اتاریں گے منزل پہ ایک دن مجھ کو

یہ جتنے زخم ہیں پاؤں میں مرے ٹھوکر کے

نبیلؔ آج وہ سر پہ سوار ہیں میرے

جو لوگ گھر میں بسائے تھے میں نے باہر کے
