گہے مکاں سے سنی گاہ لا مکاں سے سنی
شکست دل کی صدا کیا کہوں کہاں سے سنی
نہ بوئے گل نے کہا کچھ نہ تو صبا نے کہا
حدیث برق و شرر ہم نے آشیاں سے سنی
تمام حاصل ایام جس سفر میں لٹا
وہ داستان سفر عمر رائیگاں سے سنی
زمانہ منزل گم گشتہ کی تلاش میں ہے
یہ بات اڑتی ہوئی گرد کارواں سے سنی
ہے زندگی سے جو تخلیق فن کا رشتہ نازؔ
تمام عمر یہ آواز ساز جاں سے سنی

na bu-e-gul ne kaha kuchh na to saba ne kaha
hadis-e-barq-o-sharar hum ne aashiyan se suni
tamam hasil-e-ayyam jis safar mein luTa
wo dastan-e-safar umr-e-raegan se suni
zamana manzil-e-gum-gashta ki talash mein hai
ye baat uDti hui gard-e-karwan se suni
hai zindagi se jo taKHliq-e-fan ka rishta 'naz'
tamam umr ye aawaz saz-e-jaan se suni
