آندھیاں آتی ہیں اور پیڑ گرا کرتے ہیں

حادثے یہ تو یہاں روز ہوا کرتے ہیں

ان کے دل میں بھی کوئی کھوج تو پنہاں ہوگی

یہ پرندے جو ہواؤں میں اڑا کرتے ہیں

خون کا رنگ لئے گرم دھوئیں کے بادل

سرد اخبار کے سینے سے اٹھا کرتے ہیں

ان اندھیروں میں کوئی راہ تو روشن ہوتی

یہ ستارے تو ہر اک رات جلا کرتے ہیں

ہار کے زخم کبھی جیت کی لذت بھی کبھی

ہم تصور میں کئی کھیل رچا کرتے ہیں

جن کے چہروں پہ کوئی دھوپ نہ سایا کوئی

ان مکانوں میں عجب لوگ رہا کرتے ہیں

دن کے صحرا میں جسے ڈھونڈ نہ پائیں فکریؔ

شب کے جنگل میں وہ آواز سنا کرتے ہیں
