کیا کرے میری مسیحائی بھی کرنے والا

زخم ہی یہ مجھے لگتا نہیں بھرنے والا

زندگی سے کسی سمجھوتے کے با وصف اب تک

یاد آتا ہے کوئی مارنے مرنے والا

اس کو بھی ہم ترے کوچے میں گزار آئے ہیں

زندگی میں وہ جو لمحہ تھا سنورنے والا

اس کا انداز سخن سب سے جدا تھا شاید

بات لگتی ہوئی لہجہ وہ مکرنے والا

شام ہونے کو ہے اور آنکھ میں اک خواب نہیں

کوئی اس گھر میں نہیں روشنی کرنے والا

دسترس میں ہیں عناصر کے ارادے کس کے

سو بکھر کے ہی رہا کوئی بکھرنے والا

اسی امید پہ ہر شام بجھائے ہیں چراغ

ایک تارا ہے سر بام ابھرنے والا
