جائے گا

اپنے تو کیا مِلیں گے پرایا بھی جائے گا

سُورج کے ساتھ پیڑ کا سایہ بھی جائے گا

باندھو نہ عہد، عہد نِبھانا نہیں اگر

سوچو تو عہد تُم سے نِبھایا بھی جائے گا

چکھنے ہیں ذائقے ابھی شِیرین و تلخ کے

تریاق دے کے زہر پِلایا بھی جائے گا

آساں سہی تُجھے میرے دِل کا اُجاڑنا

لیکِن یہ شہر پِھر سے بسایا بھی جائے گا

عرصے سے تیرے کانپتے ہونٹوں کی آس ہے

کیا لب پہ مُدعا کبھی لایا بھی جائے گا؟

پہلے پِریم رِیت کا سندیس دے کے پِھر

مُجھ کو خبر نہ تھی کہ ستایا بھی جائے گا

ٹُوٹا جو آئینہ تو بُرا کیا ہُؤا رشِیدؔ؟

شِیشہ تھا ایک بعد میں لایا بھی جائے گا
