راہ کی دھوپ سے مفر ہی نہیں

ہم جہاں ہیں وہاں شجر ہی نہیں

یا تو مجھ میں کوئی ہنر ہی نہیں

یا کوئی صاحب نظر ہی نہیں

ہوں یہ کس تیرگی کے زنداں میں

روشنی کا جہاں گزر ہی نہیں

کوئی ڈوبے کوئی صدا ابھرے

شور دریا پہ کچھ اثر ہی نہیں

خشک پتے اڑا رہی ہے ہوا

اب کوئی پھول شاخ پر ہی نہیں

گفتگو زخم بھی ہے مرہم بھی

لفظ شبنم بھی ہیں شرر ہی نہیں

کیا کسی سے ہم استوار کریں

رشتۂ جاں کہ معتبر ہی نہیں
