محبت یہ بتا کیا سلسلہ ہے

یہ منزل ہے کہ میرا راستہ ہے

اب اس کا نام دل سے کیا مٹانا

جو ہم نے لکھ دیا ہے لکھ دیا ہے

در دل پر صدائیں دینے والے

چلا بھی آ کہ دروازہ کھلا ہے

میں اپنے آپ میں گم ہو گیا ہوں

تری آواز کا جادو بھی کیا ہے

یہ کہتی ہے ترے ہونٹوں کی جنبش

کہ ان سے اور کوئی بولتا ہے

زمیں ہے یا کوئی مہتاب خاورؔ

ستارہ ہے کہ مٹی کا دیا ہے
