اب دل کی یہ شکل ہو گئی ہے

جیسے کوئی چیز کھو گئی ہے

پہلے بھی خراب تھی یہ دنیا

اب اور خراب ہو گئی ہے

اس بحر میں کتنی کشتیوں کو

ساحل کی ہوا ڈبو گئی ہے

گل جن کی ہنسی اڑا چکے تھے!

شبنم بھی انہیں کو رو گئی ہے

کل سے وہ اداس اداس ہیں کچھ

شاید کوئی بات ہو گئی ہے

شاداب ہے جس سے کشت ہستی

وہ بیج بھی موت بو گئی ہے
