ہجر سے وصل اس قدر بھاری

صبح سے دل پہ ہول ہے طاری

اپنی افتاد طبع کیا کہیے!

وہی دیرینہ دل کی بیماری

ان کے چہرے پہ فتح کے با وصف

انفعال شکست ہے طاری

دل کئی روز سے دھڑکتا ہے

ہے کسی حادثے کی تیاری

بعض اوقات عزم ترک وفا

عین من جملۂ وفاداری

ان کو تکلیف ناز دیتا ہوں

ہائے یہ خوئے دوست آزاری

جان لیوا سہی جراحت عشق

عقل کا زخم ہے بہت کاری

کاش مجھ کو حصار میں لے لے

میرے گھر کی چہار دیواری
