میں جو تنہا رہ طلب میں چلا

میرا سایہ مرے عقب میں چلا

صبح کے قافلوں سے نبھ نہ سکی

میں اکیلا سواد شب میں چلا

جب گھنے جنگلوں کی صف آئی

ایک تارا مرے عقب میں چلا

آگے آگے کوئی بگولا سا

عالم مستی و طرب میں چلا

میں کبھی حیرت طلب میں رکا

اور کبھی شدت غضب میں چلا

نہیں کھلتا کہ کون شخص ہوں میں

اور کس شخص کی طلب میں چلا

ایک انجان ذات کی جانب

الغرض میں بڑے تعب میں چلا
