چین اور اطمینان ہے کیا

شعر سہولت سے کہہ لینا

نظم قرینے سے بُن لینا

لفظوں کے انبار اگرچہ دور کھڑے چنگھاڑ رہے ہوں

بات کو تیور سے کہہ دینا

صبح کی نازک نرماہٹ سے

ڈھلتی شام کی سنولاہٹ سے

چاندنی راتوں کی ٹھنڈک سے

دل کے تاروں کو چھُو لینا

مرضی کے لوگوں سے ملنا

ہم نفسوں کی ہمراہی میں تھوڑا وقت بسر کر لینا

دولت، شہرت کی خواہش سے اپنا آپ بچا لے آنا

سچ پوچھو تو چین اور اطمینان یہی ہے

میرا تو ایمان یہی ہے
