داغ دل اپنا جب دکھاتا ہوں

رشک سے شمع کو جلاتا ہوں

وہ مرا شوخ ہے نپٹ چنچل

بھاگ جاتا ہے جب بلاتا ہوں

اس پری رو کو دیکھتا ہوں جب

ہو کے دیوانہ سدھ بھلاتا ہوں

مجھ کو دیتا ہے گالیاں اٹھ کر

نیند سے جب اسے جگاتا ہوں

جب مجھے گھیرتا ہے غم تاباںؔ

ساغر مے کو بھر پلاتا ہوں
